This is a 6 days Zambia safari taking you for the very best Zambian Experience in Liuwa national park. Located in the farwest of Zambia. this is 3600 sq. km of wooded islands in a flat plain of 70 x 30 km has immense wildlife. Toil all day through sand, crossing dodgy pontoons and probably getting lost in the wild of Zambia on this adventure trip.
Arrive at Lusaka Airport and board a charter flight to Kalabo. During the flight, you will see the extensive Kafue River flats, Iteshi Iteshi dam, Mongu to the left and the Zambezi River and its surrounding flood plain. On your arrival at Kalabo, you will be driven to the pontoon to cross the Luanginga River. The harbour seems to be the centre of this remote town and there are plenty of activities to watch. Arrive at the camp at lunch time and after, have an afternoon game drive take you out onto the plains. There are many lots of birdlife and wildlife to view. Dinner and overnight at Liuwa Plain Camp
Days 2 - 5
After breakfast, explore the plains and woodlands which is a marvelous experience. You will be taken out for a game drive or a guided walk depending on your interest. There are lagoons and waterholes, literally filled with birds to walk around. There are miles of open plains to drive through, finding the host of wildlife. The pattern of the days will vary. Return to Kalabo after breakfast and later board a charter flight back to Lusaka.
