Terms & Conditions
Abacus African Vacations Ltd (Reg No. Z-47841), hereinafter referred to as Abacus African Vacations, accepts bookings subject to the client agreeing to the conditions set out below:

The client agrees to comply with the laws and regulations of all the countries visited on the tour, and comply with al reasonable instructions of the tour leader relating to the safety and organisation of the tour.

This agreement between the client and Abacus African Vacations is made subject to and shall be interpreted and construed in an English Court of Law.

Booking
A booking will be accepted when Abacus African Vacations has received a non-refundable deposit of the UK150/AUD400, a completed booking form, and have issued a confirmation. Abacus African Vacations reserves the right to decline any booking.

Tour bookings are only valid for the dates and routings specified thereon unless otherwise specifically authorised.

Deposit
The deposit will form part payment of the tour cost. The balance of the tour cost is due eight weeks prior to departure. Abacus African Vacations reserves the right to treat any arrangements as being cancelled by the client if such payment is not received. Abacus African Vacations is not obliged to issue or deliver tickets, vouchers or documents until full payment has been made. The local kitty payment must be paid in US dollars cash to the tour leader on the day of departure.

Cancellation
Abacus African Vacations has no intention of making substantial alterations or of cancelling any arrangements booked for a client, but in the event that this is deemed necessary prior to departure, and taking into account the interests of the client, Abacus African Vacations will promptly send out notification of such changes or cancellation.

Abacus African Vacations may cancel, suspend, alter or withdraw the booking at any time prior to the departure date when final payment of the tour cost is due, in which case the Company's liability will be limited to refunding all monies received from the client.

Cancellation of a booking, or requests for amendments to bookings, must be notified in writing to Abacus African Vacations. If Abacus African Vacations agrees to alter or amend a booking after the booking has been confirmed in writing by Abacus African Vacations, an amendment fee of UK�75/AUS$150 per person per trip will be levied. If Abacus African Vacations agrees to cancel a booking after Africa Adventure Co has confirmed a booking in writing, cancellation charges will be levied as follows:

Earlier than 56 days prior departure, the full deposit will be forfeited.
Between 55 and 29 days prior departure 35% of tour cost or deposit whichever is the greater
Between 28 and 14 days prior departure 75% of tour cost
Between 13 days and day of departure 100% of tour cost

If a client fails to join the tour, joins after the tour departure, or leaves before the specified arrival date, no refund will be made. No refund will be made in respect of any part of the tour, including the kitty contribution, which is not used or undertaken. Clients are advised to arrange travel insurance on booking in order to provide cover for these charges in the event of cancellation or delay.

Force Majeure
At any time Abacus African Vacations may cancel, suspend, alter or withdraw the booking in the event of force majeure, in which case the client will be refunded monies received by the Company, less any deductions for reasonable expenses incurred by the Company.

Rates
Before accepting a booking, Abacus African Vacations reserves the right to alter published prices. After confirming a booking Abacus African Vacations will only alter prices to take in account factors beyond its control, such as currency fluctuations, surcharges or other transportation or accommodation costs. Kitty contributions are based on prices at the time of publication and occasionally price increases after this time may make it necessary to vary contributions prior to departure. Any increase will not exceed 20% of the published kitty contribution.

Passports & Visas
You should have a full passport valid for at least six months after the end of your safari. It is advisable to allow at least one blank page for each country to be visited. If your passport is almost full you may find yourself unable to complete the tour.
Note: it is advisable to bring a photocopy of your passport in case you lose in original.

Visas are your responsibility. Please check visa requirements with the consular office of each country that you will be visiting. Alternatively, consult your agent or us. You should allow plenty of time for obtaining necessary visas. In Africa, most visas can be obtained en route.
Note: Passports and vaccination certificates with an indication of travel to Israel must be replaced.

Insurance
Personal travel insurance is compulsory for all your safaris. This should include a comprehensive medical cover including repatriation, personal effects and luggage, as well as cancellation and curtailment insurance. If you are in any doubt as to the cover you need, please contact either your agent or us.

Note: Please bring a photocopy of your insurance policy and had to the trip leader at the pre-departure meeting.
