| Itinerary: Day 1: Namaqualand
Leave the mother city early and continue through Namaqualand to the base camp on the banks of the Gariep (Orange) River, South Africa's longest. You will spend your first night in this tranquil desert wilderness in tent-style accommodation at the campsite with ablution facilities.

Day 2: Orange River/Richtersveld Desert Reserve You leave base camp to explore deeper into the Richtersveld Desert Reserve on 2-man inflatable canoes. The river is a birdwatchers paradise and the fast flowing sections are a source of great fun. Don't miss out on the cliff jump en route. You overnight on the banks of this mighty river under the stars with no facilities

Day 3: Fish River Canyon / Bush Camp
After breakfast you leave the tranquility of the riverbank, enter Namibia and head for the spectacular Fish River Canyon; the second largest in the world. You have brunch at the canyon and continue to our favourite desert camp.

Day 4: Sesriem/Namib Nauklauft Park You make your way to Sesriem on the eastern edge of the oldest desert in the world, the Namib, our base camp for the night. Overnight in tent-style accommodation at a campsite with ablution facilities. Distance travelled: 320km Approximate time travelled is 4½ hours Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5: Sossusvlei / Bush Camp
Undoubtedly one of the highlights of your tour! You have an early start to watch the sunrise over the dunes, and then breakfast followed by a hike up some of the world's highest dunes at Sossusvlei. Visit the spectacular Dead Vlei and Sesriem Canyon. After lunch you head for your first bush camp. Overnight in a tent-style bushcamp with no facilities.

Day 6 & 7: Swakopmund
Head to the coastal towns of Swakopmund where you can try dune boarding and quad biking or spend the next two days at leisure and explore this beautiful coastal oasis. Your accommodation is dorm style in a lodge (Upgrades available at own expense)
Optional Activities: Quad biking, Dune boarding and skydiving etc Distance travelled: 200km Approximate time travelled is 3 hours Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Dinner on day 7 for own expense.
Day 8 & 9: Etosha National Park
This is a fairly long drive to get us to Etosha National Park, one of the best parks in Southern Africa. Be sure not to miss the night game viewing at one of the camps floodlit waterholes. You will conduct 2 game drives in search of the many wild animals in this beautiful reserve. Accommodation is a tent-style campsite with ablution facilities.

Day 10 & 11: Ngepi You relax the next two days at this lovely camp site on the banks of the Okavango River in the Caprivi Strip. From here you have the opportunity to visit the local villages, do some fishing, canoeing or just relax in the famous swimming pool. Be sure not to miss the soccer game against the Okavango Soccer Trust, an initiative started by Umkulu Adventures. Your accommodation is a tent-style campsite with ablution facilities

Day 12: Tsodilo Hills
This world heritage site contains over 4000 san paintings and is one of the highlights of your tour. The many hikes in this area range from easy to fairly tough and you will be awestruck by the traditions and myths of the surrounding area. Day 13: Sepupa Leave Tsodilo after a morning hike and head for Sepupa, a lovely campsite on the banks of the Okanvango River. Your accommodation is a tent-style campsite with ablution facilities. An optional boat cruise on the main channel of this mighty Okavango River at 60 Pula or ZAR 100 per person at own expense. Distance travelled: 120km Approximate time travelled is 2 hours.
Day 14, 15 & 16 Maun
You will arrive in Maun late afternoon and re-supply for the Okavango Delta adventure that awaits you. The options are either a visit to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the true wilderness areas of the world for a 4 X 4 safari, or relaxing in a mokoro (dug out canoe) on the channels of the delta. Accommodation is tent-style with basic facilities.

Day 17: Planet Baobab You leave Maun and head for spectacular Planet Baobab, with its massive baobab trees. Close to Nxai Pan, this is elephant country. The backdrop of the gigantic baobabs and the vastness of the Kalahari Desert make an unforgettable sunset! Your accommodation is tent-style with ablution facilities.

Day 18: Kasane/Chobe National Park
Enjoy the diversity and abundance of game, birds and vegetation to be found on the flood plains of the Chobe Game Reserve. Tent-style campsite with ablution facilities. Distance travelled: 600km Approximate time travelled is 9 hours Optional game drives or boat cruises are available. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 19 & 20: Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe
The final leg of your journey takes you into Zimbabwe, on to the unrivalled majesty of the Victoria Falls. Here you are free to partake in the many activities (at own expense) on offer: some of the most exciting white water rafting in the world or a 111-metre bungi-jump. Your tour ends on the eve of day 20 after breakfast. (Bedded accommodation on day 20 and 21 will be paid by Umkulu Adventures).
Day 20: Breakfast, Lunch. Dinner will be for own account. Distance travelled: 140km approximate time travelled is 3½ hours.
Day 21 - 24: Transfer to Pretoria/Cape Town
The truck will depart Zambia at 5:00am on day 21, stay over at Elephant Sands, Botswana, depart Day 22 for Pretoria. Day 23, the truck will leave for Cape Town, stay over Colesberg and arrive on Day 24 in Cape Town.
Day 21 - 24 Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at own expense.
