The majority of the fleet of vehicles are manufactured by Mercedes-Benz or MAN and maintained by their highly qualified and professional team. Wildlife Adventures also owns and operates 2 fully equipped Toyota Land cruisers for smaller groups.

The guides are some of the best in the industry. They are our reputation and ambassadors for the company are responsible for the excellent standards enjoyed and maintained. Wildlife considers the time, training and investment in them as one of the most important things they do. Motivated, passionate and African born and bred, they try to place teams and guides with varying strengths and interests to make a balanced team per vehicle. They also operate their own annual month long training course for both old and new guides. Excellent flora, fauna, and wildlife knowledge is a given, but on this training exercise they brush up on the finer details like African legends, folklore, the ability to prepare varied and imaginative special diet meals, and most importantly, the character skills to be excellent leaders, interpreters and companions in Africa.

All clients will require a valid passport, and it is their responsibility to ensure that they have valid visas for all countries visited on their holiday, and / or sufficient blank pages for any visas and for entry / departure stamps. The passport must be valid for at least six months after the end of their holiday. If clients have more than one passport, they recommend that they use one passport only for the entire journey, this will save problems and potential delays at border crossings. Requirements differ depending on nationality - check with the appropriate Embassies for details. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that they are in possession of the correct visas for your holiday and onward travel. Wildlife Adventures cannot accept responsibility for anyone who is refused entry to a country because they lack the correct documentation. There will be times during the trip, when either the tour leader, hotel reception staff or police, will collect passports.

Most of their adventure camping safaris call for client’s limited participation in the camp and cooking duties. This means that the guides will supply all meals and camp duties on behalf of the group, and if anyone is wishing to help at anytime, the guides are always happy for assistance! Clients will be required to put up and take down their tents.

For the most part on your camping safaris, you will be using formal campsites along the way with running water and basic facilities. In additions, there will normally be one or two nights bush camping where there are no facilities at all. They provide large dome tents, which are chairs, tables and cooler boxes are also provided.

Hotels, lodges or chalets where used, will be based on simple tourist class style accommodation. In some cases and in remote regions – ablution facilities may be on a sharing basis.
