    How does payment work?

Once reservations have been confirmed, a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to hold reservations. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival.

N.B. Please note that this offer is based on cash payment. If payment is made by bank transfer within South Africa, there are no additional charges.

Please Note: Do not email your credit card details over the internet as this could result in fraud beyond our control.

Kindly refrain from depositing cash as it attracts banking fees, which will be for your own expense!

For Swift telegraphic transfers, there is a bank charge to be paid at 0.4% (minimum R50.00). All bank charges are for your personal expense.

    Will visas be necessary?
Please ensure that you have the correct visas for the countries you are visiting.

    Do I need insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly advised and you should arrange such in your country of origin. You should be covered in the event of cancellation or curtailment, death, any medical or rescue expenses, as well as for any loss of baggage, money or personal items. You may contact your office in this regard.

If any baggage/luggage gets lost, damaged or stolen, please get a police report to substantiate your claim once back at home. A full Travel Insurance package is recommendable. (SA Tours And Safaris with African Alternatives offer such packages.)

Clients - especially when on hikes must provide a medical kit. Any medication brought into South Africa on a prescription basis, must be accompanied by a Doctor's Certificate thereof. Clients on permanent medication must bring an additional 2 weeks supply of medication with the relevant Doctor's Certificate thereof. Clients having had previous heart problems or a bad condition that has occurred within the last two years must please check to see whether they are covered on their Travel Insurance should this condition occur whilst in South Africa. If wearing prescription glasses, bring a copy of the prescription along with you. Please advise if you wish for a quote from safarisAA with regards to travel insurance.

    Do I have to tip?
Tips are not included in the cost of your safari. You are welcome to tender small amounts to the staff and guides.

    What is the cancellation clause?

Land Arrangements: if cancelling within 1 month of arrival, there is a 100% cancellation fee. If cancelling within 6 - 8 weeks of arrival, you can forfeit 50% of the fees.

Flights: there is a 25% Cancellation fee for discounted tickets plus R45.00. Normal economy class tickets (i.e. no. discounts) have an administration fee of R90.00

This booking and eventual contract between the client and safarisAA shall be deemed to be concluded in Cape Town, Republic of South Africa; and shall be interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa. In the event of any action hereunder, the Supreme Court of South Africa (Cape Town Local Division) shall have jurisdiction in regard thereto, not-with-standing that the amount of the claim may be within the jurisdiction of the Magistrate's Court.
