| Itinerary: Day 1 to Day 2 - Giants Castle
Giant's Castle Game Reserve takes its name from the silhouette of the peaks and escarpment that resembles the profile of a sleeping giant. Historic Giant's Castle Game Reserve, home of the eland and the majestic bearded vulture, lies in the Central Berg region of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage Site.
Giant's Castle camp is situated on a grassy plateau among the deep valleys running down from the face of the High Drakensberg, offering glorious views for hikers and mountain climbers. Superb rock art is high among its special attractions. The renowned Vulture Restaurant is open in winter for visitors to watch bearded vultures and other endangered species feeding. Visit the Main Caves Museum for a fascinating insight into the past lifestyle of the San people.

Day 3
After breakfast check out and depart for about a 2-hour drive to the Battlefields of Natal. The battlefields are scattered like patchwork across the region as a poignant reminder of this bitter and bloody period, which was precipitated by the discovery of gold in the Transvaal in 1886.
Ladysmith: The Museum shows relics of the towns siege for 115 days during the Anglo-Boer War. Historical Areas: Wagon Hill, Caesars Camp, Lombards Kop and Umbulwana Hill.
Dundee: This is the Coal capital of Natal with Anglo Boer War relics; battlefield of Rorkes Drift, Isandhlwana, Fugitives Drift.
Blood River: a reconstructed site. The monument at Blood River is a reminder of the historical battle between the Voortrekkers and the Zulus, which heralded the beginning of the end of the Zulu Kingdom. On December 16, 1838 at this spot, 464 Boers under the command of Andries Pretorius defeated more than 10,000 Zulu warriors. They had tried before without success to negotiate the secession of land for settling.
Explore the many battlefields routes such as King Shaka's Way, Remembrance Route, Rifleman's Road, Warriors Trek, Siege Salute and Red Soldiers March before returning to Durban.
