| Terms and Conditions: Reservations and Payments A reservation is only confirmed once Kayak Africa has received confirmation of payment of deposit. Failure to remit full payment by the due date may result in the cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of the deposit. No client may embark on any Kayak Africa tour without full payment having been received by Kayak Africa.
Any changes Requests to change your booking may incur a charge of US$50. Please note that any such changes are subject to availability, and that should a cancellation result, a cancellation fee may be levied.
Cancellations All cancellations must be in writing, and the maximum cancellation fees that can be levied are (1) forfeiture of deposit for requests received more than 30 days prior to booked dates, and (2) forfeiture of total tour fare for requests received less than 30 days prior to booked dates. If you are a "no show" on the date of departure Kayak Africa will consider this a last minute cancellation and the above conditions will apply.
Refunds After the date of departure no refunds will be made (1) should Kayak Africa, at its own discretion, alter the itinerary due to weather or any other reason, which may affect the safety or enjoyment of any participant, (2) should any participant miss any element of the tour due to their own actions, or (3) should any participant decide to discontinue with the tour.
Insurance We strongly advise all guests to take out insurance covering cancellation and curtailment at the time of booking. Cover for emergency medical evacuation, other medical expenses, personal baggage and money should also be considered.
Travel documentation, inoculations and departure taxes It is the sole responsibility of the guest to ensure that all passport, visa, health certificate, inoculation and foreign currency requirements are fulfilled prior to departure.
Health and risks All guests must understand that while a high level of fitness or expertise is not required, all Kayak Africa safaris involve some physical activity. By making a reservation you are acknowledging this warning and releasing Kayak Africa from any responsibility for any damages or injury, which may occur. It is the sole responsibility of guests to (1) obtain appropriate medical advice on specifically anti-malaria precautions, as well as any other medical or health considerations, and (2) to advise Kayak Africa prior to departure of any specific medical conditions.
Carriage by land, sea and air Carriage by land, sea and air is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective Carrier. The respective Carrier is not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the guests are not on board their transport. The passenger tickets issued by the Carrier shall constitute the sole contract between the Carrier and the Purchaser of these tickets and/or passenger. Kayak Africa is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury that may result from any decision or action taken by any Carrier.
Responsibility Neither Kayak Africa nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of Kayak Africa, shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the foregoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in it’s brochure or any other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, weather, sickness, injury or death, whether occasioned by negligence or not.
In addition Kayak Africa shall have the right at any time at it’s discretion to cancel any tour or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route or time should any cause in the opinion of any Kayak Africa representative make it necessary to do so, and shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from such cancellation or alteration.
Condition of Booking Any person making a reservation on this website warrants by doing so that he/she has authority to enter into this contract on behalf of the other person/s included in the reservation. All persons included in the reservation undertake to comply at all times while the tour is in progress, with the instructions of any Kayak Africa representative. Should any guest, in the opinion of any Kayak Africa representative, be unfit to continue with any tour for any reason whatsoever, then such person will be precluded from continuing and Kayak Africa will not be responsible for any loss which may arise as a result.
