    At which market are these safaris aimed?
    The adventurous. These trips are suitable for anyone who is in good health, irrespective of age, fitness or paddling experience.

    What is the nature of the adventures on offer?
    The Lake Malawi National Park is located at Cape Maclear near the southern end of Lake Malawi. Monkey Bay is the nearest town and Club Makokola (an upmarket lakeshore resort) is the nearest airport.

    Kayak Africa's trips are about freedom, timelessness and discovering the tranquillity of a deserted tropical island. It is also about exploring and healthy outdoor fun.


    How many persons can be accommodated in a group?
    A maximum of 10 persons

    Who attends with passports and visas, should they be required?
    It is the sole responsibility of the tourist to ensure that all passport and visa requirements are fulfilled prior to departure.

    Is insurance required?
    Insurance covering cancellation and curtailment at the time of booking is strongly advised. Cover for emergency medical evacuation, other medical expenses, personal baggage and money need to be considered. Please contact safarisaa for assistance with purchasing a comprehensive travel insurance policy.

    Are malaria prophylactics required?
    It is the sole responsibility of tourists to obtain appropriate medical advice on specifically anti-malaria precautions. Provide Kayak Africa of any specific medical conditions prior to departure. Make sure that you have sufficient of any personal medication you require.

    What should I bring?
    Cool, loose clothing including a light sweater, trousers, sandals and walking shoes
    Towel and swimsuit
    Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent
    Camera, film, flashlight and a good book
    Fishing tackle
    Wine or spirits of your choice. Beer, soft drinks and some spirits are available locally.


    How do I secure my booking?
    Reservation is only confirmed once Kayak Africa has received confirmation of payment of 20% deposit.

    By when is full payment due?
    Full payment is due at least one month prior to departure. Failure to remit full payment by the due date may result in the cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of the deposit.

    May bookings be changed and what are the costs involved?
    Requests to change your booking may incur a charge of USD50.00. Please note that any such changes are subject to availability, and that should a cancellation result, a cancellation fee may be levied.

    Are late bookings accommodated?
    We will attempt to accommodate any late bookings, subject to availability and prompt payment of tour fares.

    May bookings be cancelled and if cancelled do tourist get a full refund?
    All cancellations must be in writing. Maximum cancellation fees levied are the following:
    Cancellation requests received more than 30 days prior to booked dates: Forfeiture of deposit.
    Cancellation requests received less than 30 days prior to booked dates: Forfeiture of total tour fare.
