Step 1.

Cape Town:
Cape Town is the cosmopolitan  “Mother City of South Africa” with its beautiful and scenic peninsula, oceans, lakes, mountains, shopping malls, theatres and recreational facilities.

Step 3.

Cape town - Paarl or Somerset West or Stellenbosch:
Depart for about a 40 minutes drive from Cape Town to Paarl, Stellenbosch or Somerset West.

Check into accommodation to be reserved in Paarl or Stellenbosch or Somerset West or Franschhoek.

Paarl is an historic town founded in 1720 as a farming and wagon-building settlement.  Unusually long oak- and jacaranda shaded main street, fine buildings and intimate association with the wine industry.

Stellenbosch & Franshoek - Visit the various wine farms with wine tasting and cellar tours, Co-Ops, restored and historical buildings and farm stalls.  Scenic views of mountain passes and beautiful landscapes. 

Golfing in the Winelands at either Paarl Golf Club, Erinvale or Stellenbosch or Kleine Zalze or Strand Golf Club

Optional excursions in the Stellenbosch / Franschhoek region.

Step 4.

Paarl or Somerset West or Stellenbosch:
Golfing in the Wineland

Step 5.

Stellenbosch – George/Knysna (Garden Route):
After an early check out, depart on about a 4 hour to the Garden Route.  En route, stop at Oudtshoorn, the ostrich farming capital of the world and famous for not only the ostrich farms, but also the Cango Caves, museums, Crocodile and Cheetah Farm.

Continue to where accommodation is to be reserved in George or Wilderness or Knysna or Plettenberg Bay.

George – Principal Town of the Garden Route with stinkwood, yellow wood and milkwood furniture manufacturers.  Famous Outeniqua Tjoe Choo Train rides between George and Knysna (undertaken in both directions) taking you over gauges, mountain passes, sea and lakes.

Wilderness – “fluffy” white sanded beach.

Sedgefield – lake and seaside holiday resort area.

Knysna – Lagoon and major furniture manufacturing centre (stinkwood, yellowwood and milkwood).  It also supports an oyster hatchery and many small shops. The Knysna Elephant Park is worth a visit. Boat cruise on Knysna lagoon, scenic steam train ride, butterfly world; a ferry ride to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, John Benn Pleasure Boat on the Knysna Lagoon.

Plettenberg Bay - a popular holiday resort with safe beaches, a lagoon and river mouth with the estuary of the Keurboom River.

Golfing along the Garden Route at either George Country Club or Fancourt Golf Estate or Sparrebosch Golf Course or Knysna Golf Club.

Step 6.

George – Port Elizabeth / Addo Elephant National Park / Wild life Reserve:
Driving time to from George to Port Elizabeth is about 5 hours.

Natures Valley – a beautiful beach, walks and scenic views.

Tsitsikamma National Park – indigenous forest with bird life, bushbuck, bush pig and blue duiker.  There are about 30 species of indigenous trees.   Numerous forest walks. Diving trails.

Port Elizabeth – Harbour and City attractions, shops, etc. 

Both Addo Elephant National Park and Private Game Reserves in the Eastern Cape are situated about 72 km north of Port Elizabeth.

Step 7.

Port Elizabeth - East London - Wild Coast / South Coast of KwaZulu Natal:
OPTION 1:  Driving time from Port Elizabeth to the Wild Coast Sun is about 8 hours.

OPTION 2:  Or Fly from Port Elizabeth to Durban. Flight options from Port Elizabeth

Upon arrival at Durban Airport, collect your car.  National car hire options.

Drive for about 2-hours to the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal or to the Wild Coast.

Option one:

East London - built on the banks of the Buffalo River, it is South Africa's only river port where a variety of watersport activities are enjoyed.

If you leave very early, you might still have time to explore the Wild Coast with its views of cliff and mountain settings,  a tranquil holiday destination with excellent fishing, surfing and bathing.

After lying or driving, check into accommodation to be reserved along the Wild Coast, or a 30 minute drive further to accommodation along the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal .

Continue for another 30 minutes drive to the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal also known as the Dolphin Coast.

Pilgrim's Rest:
Pilgrim's Rest - The whole village is a living museum and has been proclaimed a national monument in its entirely.

Pilgrim’s Rest – Private Game Reserve next to or in the Kruger National Park:
Depart for a wild life experience in the Kruger National Park or being guided amongst the African wilderness by a professional ranger at one of the Private Game Lodges.

Step 14.
Mpumalanga - Johannesburg:
Late morning, depart for about a 5 hours drive to Johannesburg.

Or take an option to fly from either Hoedspruit, Mupmalanga International Airport, Phalaborwa to Johannesburg.

Johannesburg is a great city for shopping, eating out and nightlife, Johannesburg is the commercial heartbeat of South Africa. Visit Museum Africa, which offers a superb insight into the country's history or the Johannesburg Art Gallery, to see exquisite South African and international works. The Johannesburg Stock Exchange has a public gallery, while on the city outskirts is "Gold Reef City", a re-creation of the city when it was a turn-of-the-century gold mining town
