Windhoek
Situated at an altitude of 1654 metres above sea level and surrounded by mountains, Windhoek has a fresh and light atmosphere. While the German colonial architecture is still very much in evidence, new buildings emanate a definite feel of Africa.

Step 2. Windhoek to Etosha National Park:
Depart for Etosha National Park, which is a 5-hour drive along the main route to the North. 

The Etosha National Park is one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa and was proclaimed a game reserve by German Governor von Lindequist in 1907. The heart of the park is the Etosha Pan, meaning "place of dry water", an extensive, flat depression of about 5000 sq km. This great, white expanse is a place of shimmering mirages, and seeing large herds of game in this setting makes Etosha a unique experience in Africa.

Step 4. Etosha National Park to Khorixas / Outjo region:
Depending on your overnight destination, it is about a 3 – 4 hour drive to Khorixas region.

Khorixas (the administrative capital of Damaraland) and 95 km west of Outjo. There are also fascinating natural attractions in this area.

Step 5. Khorixas / Outjo region to Kaokoland:
Depending on your overnight destination, travelling will take about 3 hours along dirt road – moderate travelling speed to the Kaokoland. Check in to where accommodation is to be reserved in the Kaokoland. Overnight at the accommodation of your choice.

Step 6. Kaokoland:
Spend your day at leisure exploring the area. Overnight at the accommodation of your choice

Step 7.
Kaokokand to Terrace Bay / Torra Bay:
After breakfast, check out. Depart for Terrace Bay or Torra Bay on the Skeleton Coast. Travelling time to Terrace Bay or Torra Bay is about 2 - 3 hours along dirt road – slow to moderate travelling.

The Skeleton Coast Park stretches along the legendary skeleton coast from the Ugab river up to the Kunene River. The Skeleton coast is infamous for its treacherous sand banks to which many ships have fallen prey. Check in to where accommodation is to be reserved in Terrace Bay or Torra Bay. Spend the rest of your day at leisure fishing and self guided sightseeing drives. Overnight at the accommodation of your choice.

Step 9. Terrace Bay or Torra Bay to Swakopmund:
After breakfast, check out. Depart for Swakopmund, which is about 5 hours drive along dirt roads.

The Germans established a small port at Swakopmund in 1890. The town's German architecture harks back to this period. Today, Swakopmund is a luxury sea-side resort much appreciated by the inhabitants of the capital. Please check in to accommodation to be reserved in Swakopmund. Spend the rest of your day at leisure. Overnight at the accommodation of your choice

Step 11. Swakopmund to Sossusvlei:
After breakfast, check out. Depart for Sossusvlei, 5 hour journey on dirt road and requires slow to moderate travelling speed.

Sossusvlei is the dune wonderland, with towering dunes up to 300 m high surrounding a huge, dried-up pan. Dunes extend as far as the eye can see and their rich tints vary from pale apricot to vivid reds and oranges. Check in to where accommodation to be reserved in Sossusvlei or Namib Naukluft. Spend the rest of your day at leisure or on optional excursions in Sossusvlei. Overnight at the accommodation of your choice

Sossusvlei to Windhoek:
After breakfast, check out. Depart for Windhoek, which is a 4 – 5 hour journey travelling on majority dirt road at a moderate speed.
