Route::Johannesburg - Waterberg Escarpment - Northern Drakensberg - Kruger National Park - Magoebaskloof - Johannesburg

Steps:

Step 1.

Johannesburg – Machabeng:
Collect or have your 4 x 4 vehicle delivered to your accommodation. Options through Britz Africa.

Depart from Johannesburg via Bela-Bela to the Mokolo Dam near Ellisras. Stop for lunch and a boat scenic ride on the dam.

Continue via the Waterberg Escarpment to the Machabeng area and check into your camp near Blouberg.

Overnight at your camp in Blouberg Nature Reserve

Step 2. Drakensberg escarpment – off road:
Today the route leads to Polokwane and from there to the Olifants River and Drakensberg escarpment.

Your camp for tonight is on the side of the mountain overlooking the valley in Lekgalametse Nature Reserve.

Step 3. Kruger National Park

The route continues down the escarpment, crossing the Selati River several times.

Visit highlights at

Kerkbos and Sekororo

You camp is set in the Manyeleti Game Reserve.

Step 4.
Kruger National Park:
Early morning walk. After breakfast continue northwards to Kruger National Park.

After lunch at Letaba Camp, exit at Phalaborwa Gate and end your day at a camp on the banks of the Letaba Ranch Game Reserve.

Overnight at your camp in Letaba Ranch Game Reserve.

Step 5.
Magoebaskloof - Johannesburg:

After your early morning walk, set off to the royal village of Rain Queen Modjadji. Spend some time exploring the area. Continue via Magoebaskloof and Polokwane back to Johannesburg.
