Cape Town is the cosmopolitan "Mother City of South Africa" with its beautiful and scenic peninsula, oceans, lakes, mountains, shopping malls, theatres and recreational facilities.

Step 3.
Cape Town - Stellenbosch/Franschhoek/Paarl (Winelands):
After breakfast, check out.  Depart for an approximate 1 - 2 hour drive to the Cape Winelands visiting Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl.

Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl - Visit the various wine farms with wine tasting and cellar tours, Co-Ops, restored and historical buildings and farm stalls.  Enjoy scenic views of mountain passes and beautiful landscapes.

Step 4.
Stellenbosch/Franschhoek/Paarl - Mossel Bay/Oudtshoorn/De Rust:
After breakfast, check out.  The drive to Mossel Bay (the Gateway to the Garden Route) takes about 4 hours and 4.5 hours to Oudtshoorn.

Mossel Bay offers safe, unspoilt beaches, historic architecture and unique museums, a scenic harbour for commercial as well as leisure craft, makes it a variable Mecca for outdoor enthusiast in search of a Mediterranean type climate and lifestyle.

Oudtshoorn spreads itself along both banks of the Grobbelaars River, a tributary of the Oliphants River, and the Swartberg Mountains to the north and the Outeniqua Mountains to the south encompassing its fertile valleys.  Warm, dry summers and sunny winter days make it the ideal breeding ground for the most majestic of flightless birds that is synonymous with the town - the ostrich.

George/Wilderness/Knysna - Plettenberg Bay/ Storms River/ Tsitsikamma National Park:
Spend your day exploring the area.

Travel for approximately 1 hour.  Check into accommodation to be reserved at either Plettenberg Bay or Storms River or Tsitsikamma National Park.

Plettenberg Bay - a popular holiday resort with safe beaches, a lagoon and river mouth withthe estuary of the Keurboom River.
Natures Valley - a beautiful beach, walks and scenic views.
Tsitsikamma National Park - indigenous forest with bird life, bushbuck, bush-pig and blue duiker.  There are about 30 species of indigenous trees.  This area is stunning with walks through the forests, alongthe beautiful beach coves.  It is a haven in itself.

Step 7.
Plettenberg Bay/Storms River/Tsitsikamma National Park - Port Elizabeth:
After breakfast, check out.  Depart for an approximate 2-3 hour drive to Port Elizabeth.

Port Elizabeth, known as the "Friendly City", is the gateway to the province and a fun place for all the family.  The city also boasts lovely beaches and family entertainment such as the Oceanarium and Snake Park.  Historical sites include Donkin Street, where settlers from Britain set up home in 1820.

Check into accommodation to be reserved at either Jeffreys Bay or Port Elizabeth or Addo or Zuurberg.

Step 8.
Port Elizabeth - Grahamstown/East London:
Depending on your overnight stay, depart for an aproximate 1.5 hour drive to Grahamstown or a 3 hour drive to East London.

Grahamstown - 30 minutes drive from Port Alfred - visit this historic "City of Saints".  It has beautifully preserved Victorian architecture, fascinating museums and abundace of churches.

East London - Its temperate climate, warm sea and sweeping white beaches along an evergreen coastline make East London one of the country's premier holiday resorts.  The beaches of the town and its vicinity are among the finest in the world and are renowned for its surfing waves and international championships.

Step 9.
Grahamstown/East London - Wild Coast or KwaZulu Natal South Coast:
After breakfast, check out.  Depart for an approximate 4-5 hour drive to the Wild Coast or about 6 hours to KwaZulu Natal South Coast.

Wild Coast - The Eastern Cape coast, which is situated in the former Transkei area, is wild, and aptly named Wild Coast.  The coast has been developed - but not over-developed.  Activities include fishing, sailing, swimming, surfing, golf and skin-diving.  The largest of the seaside villages are Port St Johns and Coffee Bay.  The most prominent holiday complex is the superb Wild Coast Sun.  Other much smaller and generally charming beach and river-mouth resorts dot the shoreline.

After breakfast, check out.  Depending on your overnight stay, depart via Underberg for the Drakensberg.  From Coffee Bay, it will be an approximate 3.5-hour drive and from the Natal South Coast, it will be an approximate 2-hour drive.

The Drakensberg is an unspoilt wilderness of grass-covered hills, deep ravines of forests, spectacular mountains with hikes and walks, waterfalls, dramatic scenery, trout streams and accommodations offering a variety of recreational facilities.

After breakfast, check out.  Depart the Drakensberg region for an approximate 2 – 3 hour drive to Durban along the Midlands Meander.

Step 14.

Durban – Hluhluwe:
After breakfast, check out.  Depart Durban for an approximate 4 hours drive for Hluhluwe or St Lucia.

Hluhluwe is renowned for its wide variety of bird and animal life.  Besides the "Big Five"(elephant, leopard, lion, buffalo and rhino), elusive cheetah, wild dogs and many other well-known bushveld species inhabit the park, offering visitors a rich game viewing experience.

St Lucia is about 1 hours drive from Hluhluwe - There is a wealth of plant and animal life inhabiting the rivers, lakes, fresh water pans, swamp forests and dune forests.  This internationally renowned conservation area contains a greater diversity of fauna and flora than the Kruger park.  At Cape Vidal, there is a legend about secret treasures to be found aboard the wreck of the Dorothea, which sank mysteriously offshore in 1898.
The opening of the Crocodile Centre was a milestone in the conservation of crocodiles in Africa.

The world renown Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.  Established in 1889 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this National Park of nearly 2 million hectares, is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms and a leader in advance environmental management techniques and policies.

Check in where accommodation is to be reserved at Kruger National Park or one of the Private Game Reserves in or next to the Kruger National Park  (e.g.  Sabie or Thornybush or Timbavati or Manyeleti) reserves.

Magoebaskloof - The road leads under the slopes of Wolkberg (Cloudy Mountain) passing the lovely cascades of the upper Letaba, the waters of the Ebenezer Dam, the trout streams of the Haernersburg district and the forest covered gorges of the Magoesbaskloof, which hides the spectacular Debegeni Waterfall.

Limpopo Province - Johannesburg:
After breakfast, check out.  Depart for an approximate 3 hour drive from Magoebaskloof to Johannesburg.
Johannesburg is a great city for shopping, eating out and nightlife, Johannesburg is the commercial heartbeat of South Africa. Visit Museum Africa, which offers a superb insight into the country's history or the Johannesburg Art Gallery, to see exquisite South African and international works. The Johannesburg Stock Exchange has a public gallery, while on the city outskirts is "Gold Reef City", a re-creation of the city when it was a turn-of-the-century gold mining town.
