4 DAYS SELINDA WALKING SAFARI

This is a 4 days Selinda Walking Trail Safari. Selinda is a special area has been set aside in the Selinda Reserve especially for walking safaris. The area is located along the Selinda Spillway, a water course linking Botswana's Okavango Delta to the Linyanti Swamps. The walks take you along time-worn trails, through riparian forest and open plains.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Selinda Spillway
After arriving at the Motswiri airfield, the trail will start with a short walk to the canoe station where the real adventure will start. As there is no set distance to be covered on the first day and also due to the fact that all the equipment is carried with the group, you will propel until when you are ready to stop, just before sunset at a suitable site on the banks of the Spillway. Enjoy the well-deserved sundowners around the campfire before dinner. Dinner and overnight at the Trails camp

Day 2: Selinda Spillway trails
After breakfast while the camp is being smashed, you will head out on the canoes for a full day of paddling. Trails guide and tracker will introduce the smaller creatures, plants and spoor, as well as stalk up on some of the larger mammals. During the trail, you will view; buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, hippo, hyena, wild dogs, lion, cheetah, elephants, and a wide variety of antelope. For the birders, you will observe more than 310 species that have been recorded on the Selinda Reserve. Dinner and overnight at another trails camp

Day 3: Selinda Spillway trails
An early breakfast once again, as camp is taken down before you continue along the water course by canoe for another full-day excursion and set up camp for the last night of this trail.

Day 4: Departure
Be transferred by road to the Selinda airstrip to end your safari.
