Ukhozi Lodge:

• No children under 11 years allowed
• Children 11 years and older pay full adult rate

Kariega Main Lodge:

• Children 12 years and under pay 50% of adult rate
• Children under 3 years old stay free of charge

River Lodge:

• No children under 11 years allowed
• Children 11 years and older pay full adult rate

For those who want to do more than merely relax and enjoy the idyllic surroundings at Kariega, there is plenty to keep you busy in and around this enchanting Reserve. Kariega also offers some unique features that are rarely found in South African Reserves.

Game Drives
Exciting game viewing in open vehicles with experienced rangers, where you will enjoy wonderful sightings of lion, elephant, rhino, hippo, giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species.  Night drives are also very popular and can be arranged.

River Cruises
Join us on the “Kariega Queen” for a memorable early morning cruise down the Kariega River and enjoy the tranquillity of nature, whilst viewing the wonderful birdlife and game along the river.

Canoeing:
Take a leisurely paddle down the Kariega River and spot our nesting Fish Eagles.
