Itinerary:

Day 1
Meet at the Land and Lake Office at 08:30 in the morning. A free collection service is offered to clients in Lilongwe. Depart Lilongwe at 09:00. Continue to Mchinji (1½ hour drive). Here you complete immigration formalities and continue to Mwami (the Zambian border). From the border it is a short drive to Chipata - Zambia's capital of the Eastern Province. Proceed on a dirt road to Luangwa Valley - Mfuwe sector. A picnic lunch is enjoyed en route and estimated time of arrival at the lodge is 14.30. On arrival you check into your chalets followed by tea and coffee. A night drive is offered returning at 20:00 for dinner.

Day 2
After a light snack with tea and coffee you depart for a morning drive at 06:00. All game drives are undertaken in open game viewing vehicles, to optimise your pleasure and experience. Drinks and snacks are taken along for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, you return to the lodge at 11:00 for a scrumptious "brunch". After this you drive to the unique Island Bush Camp where you will spend your next 2 nights. After checking into your comfortable safari style tents, you go on your first afternoon game walk, returning at sundown. Evening dinner.

Day 3
Early morning refreshments, before departing on your morning walking safari. Tea, coffee and a light snack are taken with for your enjoyment whilst on the walk. Depending on routing and game sightings, you return to the lodge at 11:00 for a delicious "brunch". An afternoon rest followed by another afternoon hike to a different area. Evening dinner.

Day 4
After breakfast you drive for 2 hours through a game rich area back to Kafunta Lodge. From there your return trip to Lilongwe is via the popular tribal textiles craft shop. A picnic lunch is eaten en route and estimated time of arrival in the city is 15:00. A free drop-off service is offered in Lilongwe.
